The Parc André Citroën and its secrets
The 15th arrondissement of Paris, where the Hotel Eiffel Blomet is situated, is one of the largest but also one of the least-known to visitors. However, there are many interesting places for you to discover, such as the Parc André Citroën. Let's start our visit ...
In the heart of the Parc André Citroën
This urban public park and its modernist landscape design occupy a site of some 24 hectares along the Seine where a Citroën factory once stood. It’s surrounded by the contemporary and even ultra-modern buildings of a Parisian business district. In a marked departure from the classic French-style Jardin des Tuileries or Jardin du Luxembourg, the park boasts an original layout combining immense lawns and more intimate gardens, playgrounds and greenhouses. It offers plenty of opportunities for walks and relaxation.
Reach for the sky
Another attraction of the Parc André Citroën that make it very popular with Parisians is its tethered balloon. One of the largest of its kind in the world, this magnificent hot air balloon will take you 150 metres into the sky so you can enjoy the stunning panorama of Paris at your feet. You’ll see majestic perspectives, the ribbon of the Seine crossed by various bridges, and fabulous views of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Sacré Cœur Basilica. It’s a magical experience.
If you want to have fun with the kids, go jogging, have a typical Parisian picnic, or float into the Parisian sky, the Parc André Citroën is about ten minutes from the Hotel Eiffel Blomet.
