From September 6th to 15th, 2018, Paris prepares for the flurry of exhibitions, cocktail parties, shows, installations, late openings and other events that take place during Paris Design Week. This eighth annual celebration of all things design-oriented is scheduled for the end of summer to overlap with the Maison & Objet trade fair. For 10 days, French and international professionals along with the general public are invited to discover the best showcases of design in the capital. Don’t miss this week of great events!
A free thematic itinerary
Since September 2010 the capital has buzzed with creativity at the end of every summer. Paris Design Week, a professional and public event dedicated to new creations, is the perfect opportunity to get some inspiration for home improvement and décor projects. Paris Design Week takes you on an exciting journey through various districts of the capital, including Etoile, Opera, Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Stalingrad, the Marais, Barbès ... With more than 300 participants, the event brings together shops, showrooms, concept stores, galleries, hotels, restaurants and more ... to celebrate design and make it accessible to all.
The emergence of new talent
The other objective of the event is to provide a platform for the talents of tomorrow and a new generation of designers through events such as the exhibition ‘OFF aux Docks’ at the Cité de la Mode et du Design. This fascinating building is a wellspring of creativity in the heart of the 13th arrondissement. Here you can find young designers presenting their achievements.
