On April 14th, some 55,000 runners, men and women, will race the 42.195 km of a long-distance road race that will take them from the Champs-Élysées to the Bois de Vincennes, the Bois de Boulogne and beyond. All of them combined will travel a total distance of a little less than two million kilometres. That’s more than double the distance of a trip from the Earth to the Moon and back! Amateurs will rub shoulders with professionals and no fewer than 145 nationalities are represented. Around 250,000 spectators are expected to cheer on the brave competitors.
